Curtain Cleaning Tips

Curtains can serve many purposes. Drapes can add warmth, color, and block sunlight or things from view that you don’t want other people to see. But how should you take care of them? More specifically, how often should curtains be cleaned?

Curtains should be cleaned every 3-6 months. If you have dust mite or mold allergies, you should clean them every 6 to 8 weeks. Be sure to check the tags, so you know if they can be machine washed or need to be dry cleaned.

For blinds, Angie recommends you vacuum or dust them at least once a month. A quick brush off with a swiffer duster or feather duster will suffice.
